First meeting. First suit?
We start by understanding your needs. We narrow down fabrics, style and details. Our range of fabrics covers winter Thornproof Tweeds and English Flannels, to Linen and Cotton for summer months. All are from renowned mills such as JJ Minnis or Scabal, Dourmeil and Fratelli Tallia Di Delfino. We only sell what we would personally wear.
This is our first meeting.

Fitting for the perfect fit
No two people are the same. No two bespoke suits are either. Some have long arms and short legs. Others may have short legs and long arms. This is before we get to sloping shoulders or suggest a style to best slim a stout belly. We don’t just take measurements, we create a bespoke pattern or blueprint just for you.
The magic happens when we use this flat pattern to make a fitting garment with shape. This first draft in the chosen cloth allows both customer and tailor to visualise the way it looks and feels. We want it to flatter and not just fit. It may require a pin here or a chalk mark there. A sleeker waist or a longer hem can all be accommodated. It is also the time to choose from a range of buttons and linings to make the pieces truly your own. You should plan on seeing us twice for two fitting appointments.
These are our second and third meetings.

A good suit is like an old friend
A good suit is like an old friend. It should accompany you through the important days in life and not just one season. That is why once we finish fitting, we un-stitch, refine and re-stitch with a full floating canvas inside. This provides shape and structure throughout its life unlike inferior suits that bubble after a trip to the dry cleaners. Buttonholes are done by hand and the buttons are genuine oxhorn, not plastic. We pay as much attention to the areas people seldom see as the ones they do.
Your pattern measurements are kept on record after your order is finished, pressed and delivered. Perhaps you would like to repeat a favourite cut in a new fabric, or to develop with a little tweak here and there. We always build from your previous order. If your figure changes, we leave extra cloth inside so future alterations can be made.

Building a wardrobe
Quality bespoke tailoring goes beyond suits. Customers return for Morning Coats or White Tie tails once they have refined the fit. Some choose plaids or tweeds for a day at the races. Others like to add a waistcoat or double-breasted for a change of pace in their wardrobe.
We also provide bespoke shirts using the finest cotton from Italian mills. They naturally come with custom collars, cuffs and mother of pearl buttons of course.
This is a journey of discovery. We hope you will find meaning in creating as well as owning a beautiful wardrobe.
